Huh.

I was eating pumpkin seeds the other day and, in between popping them into my gaping maw, noticed the eating instructions on the side of the bag. Eating instructions! Who needs those for something as simple as pumpkin seeds?

But then I read the instructions and discovered I have been eating pumpkin seeds the WRONG WAY my ENTIRE LIFE.

Apparently I'm supposed to crack open the outer shell and remove the delicate seed, discarding the shells. I've never done that. I've never seen anyone do that. I tried right then to do it and couldn't get the seed portion out of the shell.

Back to eating the whole thing, I guess, shell and all. So, my question...has anyone ever followed these instructions while eating pumpkin seeds?

In other news, feeding goats and sheep is hilarious but majorly sticky. Some of those goats have a real drool problem.

Dude. The entire *point* of pumpkin seeds is the salty covering of the outer shell! I've never cracked open a seed in my life. And, you can buy pumpkin seeds?! That's the reason I always create a jack-o-lantern - the glory of home roasting the seeds.

Dude, if I wanted that kind of manual labor involved in my snack life, I'd eat sunflwoer seeds.

And hee! Goats!
