Stupidity

Sometimes I worry about how quickly my brain is degenerating...the other day at work I misspelled my own first name. It's FOUR letters and I managed to rearrange them.

Heh, at least I recognized my mistake. The other day my girl and I were out and saw two items for purchase with clear typos: the first, a magnet of a pig's ass that says "Diet's Stink." Second, one of those trendy rubber bracelets to support research to find a cure for breast cancer that says "Livve Long (yadda yadda yadda)." Isn't there supposed to be someone - preferably someone who speaks English as a first language or has access to a dictionary or spell-check or something - approving the copy on these things before they're produced?

In other "news," I'm sure y'all are way ahead of me and have heard of this by now but I just saw http://mycathatesyou.com/ and it amused me greatly.

OK, everyone, good thoughts for the eventually-once-we-can-afford-lawyers-to-be-ex-Mr.Dis, who has 3 job interviews next week. Him being unemployed for 16 months is not a good thing for either of us. The income from a job would allow for a divorce and hey! things like paying our bills. Which, until the divorce, still have my name on them too.
