...does PMS cause the aggravation or just exacerbate it?

On a related issue, will drinking copious amounts of alcohol make me feel less or more aggravated?

Also, how can some people be so damn clueless and still manage to survive on this earth?

Yarr.

I work in a med school and one of the OB/GYNs in my dept swears that two glasses of red wine cures cramps and PMS. He's says to stop at two glasses though. It works for me for cramps and way more fun than Midol. Just put on your jammies, pop in a video, pour a glass and spend the evening relaxing.

Yes, I always figure less aggravation follows a good drink, and becuase something needs to remind us that life is not fair (as if we could forget).

I'll be happy to prove number two with ya anytime you need. Apparently there's a rampant bout of PMS devouring LJ at the moment.

I think it causes aggravation.

EEK!

I didn't realise I was going to be playing Niblet to your Tyr tomorrow night!

I bloody hope alcohol solves it, because I was counting on getting you dramatically wasted and then having all manner of wicked ways with your ass.

Also - what is this - International Week of Jam-rag? Is there anyone using LJ right now who posesses a functioning uterus and *isn't* on the blob?

Definitely strangeness incoming. And that's just me...

It can make me more sensitive--so that small things bug me--alot. Of course being tired, drunk, or hungry pretty much has the same effect on me--I'm delicate.

Depends on how much I drink. One drink? Less aggravated. More than one? More prone to violence.

Also, how can some people be so damn clueless and still manage to survive on this earth?

Well what kind of clueless are you speaking of? Because there are different answers for different types of clueless. Socrates would say that the person who is in error is worse than the one who is ignorant. Because they are further from the truth than someone who realizes that they don't know.

Not to fear, Riv. The rather strong gin 'n tonic I'm having seems to be curing all manner of ills. Also, in this case, the "P" in PMS definitely stands for "Pre".

I see you've found my weakness...I get incredibly horny when wasted. You?

Forgot to add - does that mean I'm the Niblet and you're Tyr? Must I call you "Mistress"?

Of course, you're right, there are many types of clueless. In this case I was meaning domestic cluelessness. Something along the lines of "oblivious to basic rules of household-sharing etiquette, and failing to spare half a thought as to how this will impact the other person."

When I'm back from my excursions, we'll have to start researching our Parliament Club replacements.

Oh that--yeah that's a special strate of cluelessness--it's called "dumbass".

Yeah.

*sigh* Of course, you're right. I wish that weren't true.

What's he say about gin? Because the empirical evidence I'm gathering right now suggests that gin also helps. It's certainly helping my packing to go to NY.

Or, it could be hurting the packing...which I won't know until I get there and discover that I didn't pack the right things. Hee - that's happened to me before!

I'm a huge fan of alcohol and menstrual agony. Half a bottle of red wine and you will be feeling fine. Gin will also vanquish the evil plans of your uterus. What I'm trying to tell you is get drunk with the NYC crew and it will all be OK.

Love your icon!

Your advice is duly noted. Got drunk last night with Riv and plan on doing it again as often as possible. Too bad you can't be here with us! Sure you can't commute in for the weekend?
