I've been feeling a bit "meh" lately about my life (just a phase, I'm sure), so I haven't posted much. But this morning I've decided to just get the hell on with making my life better...and was inspired by what I saw in [livejournal.com profile] spasticat's journal:

If you read this, even if I don't speak to you often, you must post a memory of me. It can be anything you want, it can be good or bad, just so long as it happened. Then post this to your journal to see what people remember about you.

Go ahead - good, bad, or ugly, post away!

PS - [livejournal.com profile] deeablo...in my quest to have less worldly goods, I'm considering giving up the shiny pink purse. If I opt not to keep it, would you have any use for it?

THE PURSE THE PURSE OMG THE PURSE!

Hmmmmm. Maybe. Although that also counts as my memory of you. COVET!

Heh, you crack me up so much!

Always laughing and smiling when I'm around you is also part of all of my memories of you.

I can remember perfectly clearly the day we actually met: from being at the airport and worrying that I wouldn't know you but then there was no doubt and we HUGGED OMG! and then in the cab, and how NYC looked seeing it from the inside and not on a screen. And then us two sitting in the hotel bar at three in the afternoon, and the sun was shining and all the food tasted great, and then we had the first of the Cosmopolitans...

I remember you putting up serenely with me being as sick as a dog and as hungover as a dead dog the next day. I remember us in the underground and going to Ground Zero in the rain... and a host of other things, all the things we saw, I see you like a wall full of Polaroids with little sound bubbles for each, and how your voice sounded, and especially us having that last meal alone together on Saturday night in the posh restaurant. And it was all so good and the only thing I'd change is that I'd have liked the hangover to be a couple of hundred per cent smaller.

You and New York are inextricable in my head and it was, oh, just a wonderful time for me.

It was a fabulous time for me as well! Though I wish a few things could have been a little different about the trip (like that I hadn't felt all pissy and crappy that last full day), it was absolutely wonderful to meet you and to play with all the NY people...

Maybe one day after we've both saved enough scratch, we can travel together again - the world is waiting for us!

My memory is of all your smiles. Yeah, yeah, sounds schmaltzy but it's true. The memories I have of you are of your smiles. Mona Lisa's got that enigmatic thing going with hers but it ain't got nothing on yours!

If you want a specific memory? Dinner at Rhapsody. Happy sigh.

One of the reasons I smile so much is because I'm around such quality people like yourself!

Ah yes, dinner at Rhapsody. Yumm! You know, I don't even remember what we did afterward, just the dinner. What the heck did we do that night?

When I posted the above response I too couldn't remember what we did afterwards! Heh. But it was Miss Margaret Cho that we saw that night.

The food made us forget the Cho!

Did you know that that tour of hers is now on DVD?

The Cho! How could I forget? I may have to watch the show again.

I remember going to your New Year's Eve party, and hanging out with you and the girls, me wearing your pimp hat, drooling over my Michael in Maxim magazine. *g*

He is SO my tv boyfriend!

Slod, I have so many memories of you and they're all full of fun times. I'm so glad I got to share all this time with you so far!

Hmmm my memory is of you me and Honoria Breeamal and his then boyfriend going to that
gay club and dancing. I remember thinking these are some fun people.

You guys were so much fun too! I remember sitting with you at dinner, talking about the clothes from Torrid. And, of course, going dancing at the club. Sorry I was too hungover the next day to call.

Getting old skool but back at the Boston Tea Party we were munching on some meal and you made a series of delightfully snarky remarks which made me laugh hysterically. You paused, adjusted your glasses, and commented that because you work alone you don't get to snark in public enough. Your glasses made me think of the sassy secretaries in 1940s comedies. The ones that sass the hell out of everyone.

Ooh, I like being compared to a sassy 1940 comedy secretary! You just made me wiggle with glee!

I remember how funny and beautiful you were at the BTP and I love all the great pics you post of your knitting and costumes and stuff.
