Stuff: Mostly Silly
Nov. 27th, 2002 02:09 pmFirst, before I forget: Happy Birthday to
mei_x and
thepouncer! May your special day be full of the Sexy, the Yummy, and the Fun!
Okay, changing subjects: Bonnie Hunt. I just have to take a second to say how damn adorable she is! I love her new show, Life With Bonnie. She's always got great guests on and she's just so funny. Sure, sure, I know, it's yet another Tuesday night television show - but really, I think she's worth it.
Next topic: movies. In the last week I've seen Punch Drunk Love and Die Another Day. PDL actually made me nauseous; the main characters were so full of rage that they literally scared me. As well, I didn't find any of them likable or even worthy of respect. Going into the movie thinking that it was supposed to be "charming" - per the reviews - I found myself searching in vain for the charming elements. Maybe if Mr. Anderson were to explain what he was thinking and what he was trying to accomplish I might enjoy it more.
As for DAD, it's a typical Bond movie. Watching it made me feel old and tired, though. I wanted the plot to be better and there to be more Halle Berry and more gadgets. It looked to me like Pierce Brosnan was tired through the whole thing too. And I hated the theme song that Madonna did for the movie. Heh, guess my low expectations of movies/television shows don't apply to Bond movies any longer.
Speaking of low expectations, guess I'll go finish watching Smallville now!
Oh yeah, one more thing:
anathema666, thank you for sending me the song I'm listening to now - Bandages by Hot Hot Heat. I really like it! Here's a link for those of you who want to check the band out. They remind me of early Cure stuff. And yes, I am totally an 80's music girl!
