I'm finally back home, where I'm glad to be...my own bed, my kitties, my computer. Unfortunately, I'm really sick (it just wouldn't be *Christmas* without a festive cold that morphs into a sinus infection). Must get better practically overnight as I'm looking forward to our New Year's Eve shebang.

Heh, shebang is a good word.

So to all my friends...I love you and I'm going to slowly catch up on my friends page. Please don't think I don't love you just because I haven't been around lately. And in the meantime, if I should say anything particularly weird or rude or strange or goofy, please remember this important fact: I'm on medication. Sure, sure, it's just cold medicine, but I find it to be a valid excuse nonetheless.

Awww-www! *hugs*

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well, honey! I hope you have some miraculous recovery b/n now and Tuesday, or failing that, a wonderful time being high on cold meds!

Thanks for the hugs, Slodicon! Between your hugs, the cold medicine, and the soup and hot tea diet, I'm sure I'll be feeling better in no time.

Yay!
I'm so glad to see you're back!

I completely understand about the Holiday!Illness, though...seems like when you put 8 kids in a room once a year, at least one will be sniffly, and a few days later the adults will have caught it too [not even mentioning that my 5yo sister snuck onto the pullout couch after I was asleep Christmas eve and wound up breathing her germy breath in my ear for hours]

I'm sure you'll have a rapid healing experience, and be spiffing well in the nick of time for your shebang [which totally is a good word]

Again, welcome back (:

Yep, the yearly holiday sharing of the germs. I did my best this year to keep them all to myself...so far none of the other family members have exhibited signs of getting what I've got, thankfully. And awwww, how cute - your sister just wanted to be close to you. Hopefully you won't be reaping the harvest of her germy breath.

Once I've gotten to a point where I can function for longer than a few moments at a time, I'll pop that Bart watch into the mail for ya.

Thanks for the warm welcome back, you sweet thing!

I'm really going to try to be there, although I think I may have to come as Lana Lang -- you know, a girl with dark hair parted down the middle with a green necklace. I've been so busy lately, that I haven't had time to think of a good costume. *g*

Welcome back, Dis! We missed you so.

Hope that Christmas was grand, and that New Year's finds you healthy as a horse. Or, y'know, any other particularly illness-free farm animal.

Yeah, sorry... *ahem*... that saying really needs a good overhaul.

Anyway, *hugs* to help you get better, and *smooches* to make you forget your cold.

Hm, I guess I should be thankful that you didn't call me an ass or a pig. But where are my manners? Thank you for the well wishes!

The hugs are nice and very appreciated. The thought of the smooches is making my endorphins kick in and having a nice combination effect along with the cold meds. You don't mind if I imagine some back-rubbing and other fun things too, do you? *feeble attempt at leering*

Wheeeee! We got ya back! You just take all the time you need to relax, rest, keep up the fluid intake and get Mr Dis to wait on you hand and foot, hee!

Festive illness, ho! I spent Boxing Day round with my parents. Blissful midget-free peace, champagne, and the quality chocolates hauled out at last. The only problem was, I was doing my usual "what was that on the telly?" thing (being too hopeless to see it at all unless I'm a foot away), my mother has laryngitis and lost her voice completely, and my dear Daddy is going deaf as a post but steadfastly refuses to admit there's a problem. My mother said we were like the Three Monkeys! Well, actually she croaked it out in a hoarse breathy little whisper, I fell about laughing, and my Dad sat there going "What did she say?"

*mwah* Glad you've back in the nest! And keep taking any medication you fancy...

Riv, that sounds incredibly funny! Thanks for the laugh. Although if you were to hear me speak now, I'm sure I would sound much like your mum. Minus the accent of course. Or, to be more specific, your Mom with a Chicago (She-CAW-go) accent. I've been told I sound like Bonnie Tyler, which I'm not quite sure how to take. I prefer to think of it as more of a "Janis Joplin after a really hard drink/drugs binge", myself.

Smooches back to you, darling Riv!
