Just got done watching Army of Darkness and laughing hysterically at it. I laughed so much that I frightened my dog.

And when I heard "Cry havoc and let loose the dogs of war!" I nearly fell off the couch giggling. (However, I have to say that it sounds a million times better when MR says it.)

It was probably just me, but I spied some parts in the battle scene at the castle that reminded me of LOTR:TTT. All that was missing was Aragorn and Legolas' slashy looks. At first I was thinking, "Way to rip off the Raimi brothers, Peter Jackson!" Perhaps it was a nod to their particular brand of genius instead.

Uh-huh, that's it. Exactly.

I htink it was nod to the Raimi brothers.

I love me some Army of Darkness. Hmmm, maybe I'll go watch it right now. You know, to calm down!

Did you know that Army of Darkness (brilliant bit of cheese, imho) is just a spiffed up Evil Dead? Both by the same director? Ah...well if you did or didn't know...there is a MUSICAL of Evil Dead!!! Saw it last fall and I heard it will be playing again this Spring. This was the play I saw where I discovered that hot chocolate/schnapps being poured out of one of those bladder shaped bags sounds a lot like Clark's eye-squirts. Hee!

It is funny you noticed that about Jackson and Raime's battle scenes being similar as both started out making odd/brilliant horror films.

I knew about the Evil Deads but a MUSICAL? Oh dear god, I've got to see that. That would be too funny to miss.

The songs were hilarious! We saw it outside in the cold of October shivering under blankets and drinking wine and hot chocolate with schnapps. I'll ask my friend when it's playing again.
