I really should get more sleep
Feb. 13th, 2003 11:22 pmThe less sleep I get, the more morose I am. It's a simple cause-and-effect situation...and yet I choose to stay up til all hours of the night for no good reason. D'oh!
The lack of sleep is also resulting in a sort of brain purge, so here's some stuff I've been thinking about tonight:
Oh, there's more. But I really should think about getting some sleep.
The lack of sleep is also resulting in a sort of brain purge, so here's some stuff I've been thinking about tonight:
- Love the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game? Love the Muppets as well? Then you absolutely must check out the Six Degrees of Bacon game. As the site says, "...any actor can be connected, in six steps or less to, you guessed it...Miss Piggy!"
- I ordered a new sex toy and it just arrived today. Haven't had time to play with it yet; will report back with details soon. Enquiring minds want to know!
- Charlie, the dog we're "test driving", and our dog, Fred, are doing much better together today. Just have to figure out how to keep Charlie from chasing the kitties. He just doesn't understand that those small, cute, furry little things don't want to play with him.
- I so want to move back to Seattle. I miss the mountains, I miss the ocean, I miss my friends. Sure, Chicago is great and all, but Seattle's not supposed to get 6 inches of snow over the next 24 hours. Sheesh.
- Mmmm, chocolate.
- Mmmm, Michael Rosenbaum.
- Still watching Buffy season 3. Anya as a prom date (in, naturally, The Prom)? Hilarious! From how she asked Xander to the stories she was telling at the dance.
- What should I ask William Gibson to write when he autographs his book for me?
Oh, there's more. But I really should think about getting some sleep.

Date: 2003-02-14 08:53 am (UTC)Hee! Indeed all the flowers already blooming in Seattle. I've already switched from my winter coat to a lighter spring jacket. Am I tryingot make you jealous? Yes. And here's why:
What should I ask William Gibson to write when he autographs his book for me?
I love William Gibson, mmm, probably more than any other writer. As of the start of this book tour I have now missed him a total of six times. The kicker? Each time I missed him by mere hours. I either found out that he was signing hours before and couldn't get in, or I found out mere hours afterward and could have made it if I'd know. So think of me while you get that autograph, and ask him the real reason books are better than PDAs.

Date: 2003-02-14 10:38 am (UTC)I just discovered the joys of Gibson's writing last year, and am busy catching up on his work. It's too bad you couldn't make it to any of his signings! But, hey, you did get to go to the MS hockey game and see MR. So don't feel too bad.
