Sometimes, don't you just want to find the person who created a pop up and kick them in the shins, hard?
I just encountered this pop up for a casino. I closed the damn thing, yet it came right back and started installing a program on my computer. I removed it, of course, but shit - that made me angry. Obnoxious fucker who wrote that little jewel should be poked hard in the ribs several times. At least. Actually, I can think of other things I'd like to do to the spammer, but I wouldn't want to scare you all with the extent of my need for revenge right now.
Spam rage. It's what's for lunch.

Date: 2003-02-22 10:48 am (UTC)An article I saw recently said that the pop-ups are working, that they see people clicking through, etc. Personally, I wonder how much of whatever number that is can be attributed to the fact that sometimes the ads materialize right when I'm in the process of clicking on something else completely unrelated.
