You know those days when you're kind of bored but yet you don't feel like doing anything? Not the days when you're feeling really crappy; just the days where you're kind of in this in-between space and the longer you stay there the worse it gets?

I was having one of those today. (Surely part of that is because I'm a little jealous of all the people at DilloCon.)

However, while I was walking the dog I decided that I was done with doing nothing today and feeling weird. 'Hey,' I said to myself, 'I am in charge of my own pain and my own joy.' (The corniness of which can only be attributed to my 2am watching of "Navy Seals/BUDS Training" on the Discovery channel...one of the men in the class said something similar.)

So I did some of the work I had to do, cleaned the kitchen, and made dinner and a batch of brownies. Now the brownies are cooling, and I'm about to have a glass of wine and watch Angel season 1. I might even haul out the heated-foot-soaking-spa thing and give my tootsies a treat.

Today has been a very good day after all. I hope all of you at DilloCon are having a blast, and am sending giant smooches to all the rest of my friends.

So, how went the evening of Angel and brownies?

It was lovely...Angel made me laugh a bunch and the brownies were delicious (though they're a gateway drug, as Slodicon once told me - soon I'll be knocking over convenience stores for their supply of pixie sticks). Plus Scrunchy and I amused each other for a while on AIM - it was a nice night.
