Taking my cue from [livejournal.com profile] anathema666, [livejournal.com profile] shanalle, [profile] valkyerie, and no doubt countless others.

1. Are there any classes of food you won't eat?
Not really. I'm a foodie and tend to be fairly adventurous with trying new things. That said, I don't like certain textures of food - like slimy foods and really chewy foods. So I don't like things like eggplant, calamari and octopus, raw oysters, flan and creme brulee.

2. Are there any whole genres of TV you won't watch?
Religious programming, made-for-tv movies, football, and any of the home-shopping networks.

3. What colours will you never wear?
Rusts, moss greens, and most brown tones. And those jeans with the pre-faded areas on the thighs/ass aren't my style either.

4. Music styles?
Country, gangsta rap, most pop music, hair/metal bands, and most "house" music. As most of you know, I'm a die-hard punk, 80's alternative, and indie-rock kind of gal.

5. Actors whose movies you refuse to see on principle.
Julia Roberts (with some exceptions), Kevin Costner, Jason Patric, John Sessions, Kirstie Alley, Ted Danson, and from now on, Ben Affleck.

6. Categories of film that you avoid like the plague.
Movies about drug addiction and gangs (again, with a few exceptions, like The Basketball Diaries). As well as movies about the Civil War or Pearl Harbor.

7. Types of cuisine you won't eat.
I haven't found much German food I like so far, though I'd like to change that. Nor have I particularly enjoyed the Ethiopian food I've had thus far. And I can't go vegan - I like meat, cheese, and eggs.

8. Breeds of dog or cat you would never own.
Any little "yippy" kind of dog. I knew someone who had a toy Pomeranian - a 3 pound fluffball who made enough noise for 10 dogs. And Poodles...just don't like the way they look.

9. Household chore you hate enough to offload on the innocent and unsuspecting.
Dusting. It's the worst.

10. Most hated sport, either to play or to watch.
Since it's so ubiquitous, I'd say football. I can pretty much avoid the other sports I don't like since they're not as popular.

Yep, I think I'll write off the rest of the afternoon...no need to even try to be productive. Long Live Laziness!

You dissin' the flan, missy?
I don't know if I can abide by that... ;)

Actually, no...for all the flippy dippy flan hattin' going on around me, I actually can barely stand the stuff myself -- it's a bit slimy for my tastes. Besides, it's pudding, but free-standing...there's just something downright unsettling about that.

*deep, sombre voice*

Pudding is never wrong.

That is all.

Pudding, yes. Flan, no. Flan is pudding's bastard cousin, the one the rest of the family doesn't like to talk about.

I used to dislike flan and creme brulee too -- I thought it tasted too eggy -- but then I had some at Nacional 27 that tasted like a bit of heaven in my mouth. Changed my mind about it totally.

I like pot au creme, so you'd think I'd like the others. But there's just something about them that doesn't agree with my palate.

C'est la vie!
