It's incredibly dark and icky looking outside today, featuring the ever popular freezing rain/snow mix falling from the sky.
Blech. All the stuff I should be working on right now? Not gonna happen. All I want to do is curl up in bed, snuggled under the warm blankies with my kitty and read my books. If
lexluvsclark wants to send naked men over to my house, I'll gladly serve them teacakes, whether in the bed or somewhere else in the house.
(An observation about my cat - the one who sleeps under the covers with me - it is surely a thing of grace to have a warm, furry, soft little cat cuddled up to you, her purrs not only audible but tangible as well, the purring resonating through your ears and arm and chest. It's just so...sweet. And comforting.)
Before I crawl off to slip under the covers, here's something I read that amused me. It's a description of the Sechselauten in Zurich by Cam Sylvester:
At this, the grandest public event in the city, guild members build a giant cotton wool snowman (the Boogg), place him on a 12-meter pyre and cram his head full of explosives. They then light the pyre, mount horses and ride around and around and around until the fire reaches the Boogg and his head erupts into a huge fireball.

Date: 2003-03-08 03:34 pm (UTC)Why thank you! Though at this moment, I wouldn't have much use for them either, except that pretty naked men might be a good distraction from the ickiness outside. Unless they decided to enact some of my favorite fanfics, in which case I'd be happy to watch.
