Ten Turn-ons

It's been interesting reading everyone's Top Ten Turn-Ons, and it's made me think about what I'd include in my list. Off the top of my head, I could only think of a couple, so I decided to challenge myself to come up with ten. After much thought and deliberation, I managed to reach ten. Whew.

1. Kissing. I really enjoy kissing, whether slow and gentle or hurried and needy. Though if you taste like an ashtray? Not so much with the sucking-face. But that's what Altoids are for, right?



2. Good conversation. You know that thrill that comes from a good conversation with someone? A conversation that is exciting, informative, where both parties are contributing ideas - I love that. It doesn't always have to be about serious stuff like Wittgenstein, The Baghavad-Gita, economics, politics, books, etc. Sometimes it's just as good a conversation when it's about Saturday morning cartoons or smutty fanfic. The spark I get from talking to the other person is very hot.



3. From a purely visual perspective: nice arms on a man and nice cleavage on a woman.



4. Scents. I thought a lot about this one and decided that for me, there's no one particular scent that does it. When someone smells good to me, it makes me want to lick their neck. A lot.



5. Dancing. All that touching of your dance partner and the way the body moves under the clothing - that builds to desire. As long as my partner's not stepping on my feet and isn't doing the "I ain't got no rhythm" shuffle, it's all good. (Yet another reason why I like the places with strobe lights - everyone looks like a much better dancer when you can only see them every other second.)



6. Voice. For example, MR's voice makes me all melty. 'Nuff said, I think.



7. Leather. I have a serious leather fetish, as some of you may already know. It gets so nice and warm and buttery from body heat, and the smell of leather is definitely on my list of good scents.



8. Bondage. Especially when combined with the leather fetish mentioned above. Rrrowwr!



9. Anticipation. Like playing footsie at dinner, or when your partner sidles up to you at a party and whispers in your ear plans for having his/her way with you. Then all the subsequent thinking of what awaits both of you as you make small talk with the other guests and try not to look all glassy-eyed.



10. Sense of humor. Someone who can make me laugh, especially during sex, is really hot.

Certainly the dancing and good conversations helped! Plus I saw plenty of great guns and nice cleavage. Definitely inspiring.

I agree with most of these, Dis. As for 3 and 4, I was at a coffee shop in the gay village here yesterday and I was sitting one table down from a leatherman with the nicest arms. They were totally toned and tanned without being too much. And the leather wristcuff he wore was like the bow on the present. But not *my* present, alas.

And for scents, one time I went to Greece and my first night there I danced with this sexy Greek waiter. He was sweating and he smelled *so nice* that it was a complete turnon. When I went to the airport a few days later, I was behind a man whom had just gotten off a long flight and was all sweaty. Again, the same transfixing smell. What is it about the Greeks?
