Answers to the questions posed to me by [livejournal.com profile] adellyna:

If you had to pick one gender to continue having sex with, which would it be?

Whoever is around, willing, and is wearing leather pants? Heh. At this point, I'd have to say women. (Pink in her low-slung leather pants on the MTV Movie Awards nearly melted my brain.) You didn't ask me why, so I'll leave that up to your imagination.

Recycling this one: If you had a penis, what would you call it?

I have a penis-substitute that I call Mr. Big. Yes, that's right, it's a cheesy name but I ordered it online and it was bigger than I had expected when it arrived. Mr. Big is so generous, polite, well mannered and charming.

If I actually had a penis, what would I call it? A medical miracle, baby.

You have five million dollars. What do you do with it?

First I'd have to figure out a way to keep this fact from my black-sheep-of-the-family-always-looking-for-a-handout brother. Then I'd buy my mom a nice house and pay off any bills she has. I'd set up a college trust fund for my niece. I'd also set up an endowment in the Philosophy Department (my major) at my alma mater, Santa Clara University. There'd be some donations to the SPCA and other charities I like.

I'm sure there would be some shopping and much traveling too. Plus, I'd hire a personal chef who would make delicious yet healthy food and a personal trainer who would push me to exercise more.

If you had to completely change your identity to save your life, who would you be, what would you do, and where would you live?

Wow, tough question. As I think about this, I'm discovering that I'm saddened by the idea of having to have a new first name. I love my name! As for what I would do, I'd love to own a little tea shop in a place like Carmel-by-the-Sea (there's one there already, so I may have to find another spot like it). I'd offer a charming tea service, excellent loose-leaf teas, and fabulous china and funky teacups. Or maybe I'd go to school to become a Licensed Massage Therapist as I've been thinking about lately.

What is the most important thing your mother ever taught you?

You know, I've been asked questions like this before and always have a hard time answering them. Mom taught me a million things, but I can't think of any one thing in particular that stands out as the most important.

Heh, I just remembered one specific thing she taught me when I was a little kid – don't wear colored & flowery underwear under see-through white pants.

Now, answers to questions from [livejournal.com profile] tresca:

If you could live anywhere in the world, where and why?

This would require a lot of traveling in order to really make up my mind. Right now, of all the places internationally and nationally I've traveled, I'd like to live in Seattle again. It just felt right to me when I lived there. Mountains, ocean, not too hot (for the most part), fun things to do, and interesting people.

Describe your favorite shoes and why they are your favorites.

Ooh, a surprisingly hard question! Okay, I'll narrow it down to what's in my closet right now. *scurries off to look in closet* Right now, my favorite shoes are a pair of 9 West open-backed slip ons. They're mostly black with some tan accents, kind of in that stitched/bowling ball shoes look that's popular right now. They're extremely comfortable and look great with jeans or dressier pants. I also have a pair of shoes that are shaped kind of like sneakers and that pull-on. They're mostly black, but the middle and top of the shoe is red nylon with a few black straps that meet at the center of the top of my foot. Most people think I am wearing red socks, but it's all built into the shoe.

I also have a pair of creepers on the way – black with hot pink piping and a hot pink cat's head on the toe box. Fun!

If you could have dinner with a historical figure, who would it be and why?

Currently I've been thinking it would be interesting to speak with Queen Liliuokalani, the last monarch of Hawaii. Her kingdom was stolen from her when the US deposed her and annexed the islands as a state.

The history of Hawaii is very interesting to me, having been born there and still having family there, and the way the non-native people who were there in the 1800's took control away from the Hawaiians is both tragic and fascinating. Before ever deposing the Queen, the non-natives took away power by denying a voice to those who weren't landowners – after they had already prevented the natives themselves from owning land. Deposing Liliuokalani was simply the final step in securing the trading rights and such that they had been maneuvering to control from the start. I'd love to hear first hand what all of that had been like.

Mastercard "Priceless" ads: Brilliant, Stupid, or Tired?

The first couple of them were Brilliant. But the concept is overused now. Time for a new campaign.

What one thing didn't you do in high school that you wish you had?

Fought for my right to be valedictorian. Our school had this strange policy of having people vote on who would speak, based on sample speeches...which boiled down to a popularity contest.

I'd also like to have told off Gaylee Adell, for stealing my date (who I had a HUGE crush on) to the Spring Dance freshman year. Bitch! I had asked Tom Fitzpatrick to the dance fairly early, and pretty much everyone in my class knew I had a thing for him. Yet that anorexic bitch asked him anyway, and he dumped me to go with her.

I did taste a sweet bit of revenge senior year when he started trying to curry my favor and told me that he would have had more fun with me those three years ago – at which point I told him it was too late; his chance had passed. That felt pretty good, but I never had the balls to bitchslap Gaylee like she deserved.

Can people ask why? (If I'm being a big nosy parker, feel free to tell me. *g*) I'm just wondering if it's the sex that's better, or if it's the company of women that's better, or none of the above.

Hm, I keep typing and then erasing. Maybe we should just talk about this in person some time, over a drink or two.

Sounds like a plan. *g*

I want to get in on the action! *g*

I keep asking (who I thought were the appropriate) people about girls and no one has answers for me.

I can use my CLana icon with purpose finally!

OK, I'll happily include you in the action (so to speak).
