Rainy Days and Movies

So I see some of you wussesChicago people don't want to sit out in the rain to watch Rear Window tonight at Grant Park. That said, I'm throwing out an invite to anyone who'd like to come over to my house tonight. I can run over to the video store to see if they have Rear Window there, or we can watch The O.C., etc.

I just made Rice Krispy treats, by the way.

Oh! My puppy is also back from boot camp. 'Course the cats are here too, and I know some of you are allergic. So...just let me know what you think.

Actually, the video store across from me has it (that's where I rented it from originally)...

I need to debate merits of kitties. Emma is coming to get me in an hour so we can go get the bookshelf from Pier 1, and I should be home with it around 3:30pm, and I'll check the store to see if they have it, and then figure out if I shall come there :)

Damn the rain. But we lucked out the last two weeks so I guess I should feel lucky. Just in case we can't find rear window I can offer "The Women" as great old black and white Joan Crawford, Norma Shearer, and Paulette Goddard film. Its a great funny take on catty new york socialites and its a rare film where not one man appears onscreen throughout the entire thing. I've always wanted to watch it with a group of girls.

"Jungle Red!" Oh, I LOVE this movie. *I* watched it for the first time with my gay husband, and it was even BETTER> Did you know that, save for a cameo of George Cukor in drag, no male is never seen or heard onscren throughout the entire picture? Even the animals are female!
