Bone Tired
Sep. 10th, 2003 09:14 pmYou know those nights when you're so tired that the simple act of getting into bed - slipping between the sheets, stretching out, positioning the pillow *just* so - feels so damn good?
Wait, maybe now that I think of it, I'm not quite that tired. I'm tired, but not that tired. But I am going to get out my foot spa thingy so I can soak/massage my feet, watch tv, and eat ice cream. Doesn't that sound sooo indulgent?

I watched The Cat's Meow last night, a movie about W.R. Hearst, his mistress, Marion Davies, and the "semi-true story of the Hollywood murder that occurred at a star-studded gathering aboard William Randolph Heart's yacht in 1924."
It was good. It did take me a few minutes to get used to Eddie Izzard in dark hair (I'm so used to him being blond) as Charlie Chaplin. Kirsten Dunst was adorable and bubbly as Marion Davies, Cary Elwes was slimy and manipulative as Thomas Ince, Jennifer Tilly was annoyingly fannish as Louella Parsons, and I was happily surprised to see Joanna Lumley (a.k.a. Patsy from AbFab) in it as well as Elinor Glyn, though they put her in the most horrid red wig.
It was well worth being in the Netflix queue.
