A Different Kind Of Friday Five

Happy Birthday,
nashhole! I hope you're being spoiled in the manner you deserve today.
I participated in a focus group today for two hours and was paid $85 for it. It was pretty fun, too, so now I've emailed a bunch of other marketing research firms to see about being added to their pool of participants. I have opinions, now pay me!
Walking back to the train, I saw the following in the river: a duck, a seagull, a bottle, and a dead fish. It was just as thrilling as that last sentence was.
slodwick is spending the night here tomorrow so she can be a part of
xica_s's birthday bash. Holy dead fish, Batman, I don't have the smallest urge to clean up the house. Perhaps this visit I'll let her see what our house is like when Mr. Dis and I are being lazy slobs. OK, by that I mean when I am being lazy, because it's rare that Mr. Dis contributes to the cleanliness of the house.
I'm sad about John Ritter dying. I had a small crush on him in Three's Company, and always was excited to hear about new projects for him. He had a fantastic smile, wasn't afraid to make fun of himself, and loved to entertain other people...and that's none too shabby an epitaph. John, thank you for all the good times you've been responsible for in my life. We'll miss you.
