Xica_S, The Meat Club, and Me
Sep. 18th, 2003 06:02 pmLast weekend was
xica_s's birthday celebration, which was totally a blast! Xica, thanks for being born, and for inviting me to celebrate your birth with you.
Some of the other revelers have already posted about the night, so I'll skip that. But I just have to mention The Meat Club here, for posterity's sake.
As
xica_s,
mei_x,
slodwick,
spasticat and I were eating lots and lots of meat on skewers, we came up with The Meat Club. I can't remember who mentioned it first, but as often happens while in a group of us funny, beautiful, and snarky LJ people, we ran with it. Slod decided that the mean waiter would be the first up against the wall when the Meat Revolution started. There was talk of a "Meat Cloud" instead of a mushroom cloud - perhaps with a pork-chop shape. And we came up with the Three Rules of Meat Club:
We're really a much more friendly club than The Fight Club. Much more giggly also. I'm still waiting for Slod's promised "Meat Club" icon.
Speaking of food, I've been working toward the goal of being slightly less zaftig than I already am. With all the crap going on in my life this year, there's been WAY TOO MUCH comfort food eating happening, and I'm curvier than I want to be.
So I joined Weight Watchers a month or so ago. I eased myself into it: first, increasing my water intake and my exercise. Second, buying less fattening things at the grocery store. And I've just subscribed to WW etools and started keeping track of what I eat each day. (Thank goodness for that online tracker, or I'd never do this step. All that counting and such was more than I was willing to do by myself.)
So far, so good. Even with the eight hundred pounds of meat I ate at Xica's party, the garlic fries and drinks at the bar that night, and the Haagen-Dazs I indulged in the other day, I still lost weight this week. Imagine what I could have done if I had been a less willing member of Meat Club! I've lost 5.2 pounds so far and am excited about the results. Soon there'll be less of me to hug. (But don't worry, I'm sure I'll still be racktastic. I want to be. I like my breasts.)
All this talk about Meat Club has got me craving red meat. Mmmmmm.

As
- The first rule of Meat Club is you must eat meat.
- The second rule of Meat Club is you must chew thoroughly.
- The third rule of Meat Club is no talking about Meat Club...with your mouth full.

Word. I want to still be curvy yet toned. I'm currently a 38D so I'll probably go down to a 36D or 36C after I lose weight.

I'm on an exercise program that includes weight machines and about 20 to 30 minutes cardio. Actually, my exercise program is similiar to Halle Berry's, NOT that'll look like Halle Berry afterwards.*g*
No, you'll look hotter than Halle!
I used to belong to a gym and could hardly get myself to go. So I've been concentrating on just getting out and walking now that the weather's cooler, and doing some basic weight work here at home. I can add more serious weight training once I'm firmly ensconced in this whole exercise regime.

Amen and Hallelujah to being curvy yet toned! The suggested weight for my age and height starts at a jaw-droppingly low number. I'm tall, so if I weighed what was suggested, I'd be not much above skeletal. I want there to be some comfy spots on my body for someone to rest their head, you know?

But I also wanted to ask you...
"Meat Club"
- isn't that just some fancy euphemism for Clark's cock?

If it was, rule #2 would be an issue, methinks. Unless Clark gets off on penis pain.
Heh, Slodwick was creating some interesting hand signals to use in Meat Club. Some of them even made *me* blush, which (as you know) is rather tough to do.

Congrats on your progress!! I'm with you on wanting to remain racktastic, and so far, my boobs seem to be staying. So that's cool. *g* With my new lifestyle change, I totally want to get smaller overall, but I simply must maintain the racktasticness.
Keep up the good work with the program!
